Complex aortic surgery and vascular care for high-performance athletes

Dr. Ballard primarily practices at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange and offers comprehensive care for all problems of the arteries and veins. His expertise includes carotid surgery, aortoiliac occlusive disease, complex aortic, mesenteric and renal artery reconstruction, and open and endovascular repair of thoracoabdominal and abdominal aortic aneurysms and dissections.

He has a special interest in vascular problems of high-performance athletes, such as thoracic outlet syndrome, iliac artery endofibrosis, popliteal artery entrapment, and chronic compartment syndrome. He has received many awards for research and teaching and has been listed in Best Doctors in America, America’s Top Surgeons, and Orange County’s Top Doctors.
