Thoracic outlet syndrome

“I have numbness and pain and tingling in my shoulders and arms.”

The thoracic outlet is the narrow space between your collarbone and first rib. When nerves or blood vessels are squeezed there, you can have lasting pain, numbness, tingling, weakness, swelling, or color changes in your shoulder, arm, or hand. It’s often seen in athletes and people who work with their arms overhead.
